Donations & Puzzle Exchange

Donations

The Oak Creek Public Library welcomes donations of gently used library-related materials, such as:

  • Books
  • Cookbooks
  • DVDs
  • CDs
  • CD-ROMs
  • CD audiobooks
  • Current magazines (less than 1 year old)
  • Crafting or quilting magazines (any age)

Audiovisual materials must be in their original sleeves/packaging. Copies are not accepted. The library will not accept items that have water damage, missing pages, or are soiled or “smoky.” We are also unable to accept:

  • Textbooks
  • Encyclopedias
  • VHS tapes
  • Cassettes

All donations are tax deductible. Patrons will receive a tax receipt upon request. Library staff will not place a value on materials donated.

Donations should be dropped off at the Oak Creek Public Library 1st floor Service Desk. Donations will be evaluated by staff for addition to the library collection. Items not added will be given to the Friends of the Library for sale in their ongoing and annual book sales or will be disposed of. The library does not return items not added to the collection to the donor.

Are you a local author? If you wish to donate a published copy of your work and have it considered for the library collection, please fill out this form.

For monetary donations, please contact Jill Lininger, Library Director, at [email protected].

Puzzle Exchange

Our Puzzle Exchange is displayed on the 1st floor of the library across from the Book Nook. It features puzzles for all age groups and levels of complexity. Feel free to take a puzzle, leave a puzzle! We ask that puzzle donations are missing no more than 5 pieces.
